Heather was adopted, and from an early age her first impression of what an attorney did was to make families. She decided then and there to pursue a career doing exactly that. After graduating from law school she started a successful adoption practice, and developed business using technology and the internet. Although she believed it was the norm, she realized her friends and colleagues were struggling with their own digital marketing. Heather realized she was uniquely situated as a subject matter expect and as someone who could navigate compliance; the perfect person to serve her profession by providing website content, blogging, and social media management to lawyers and law firms. And so, in October of 2013, MindMeld Marketing was born.
Heather has a law degree from John Marshall Law School in Atlanta and a bachelor of science degree from Clayton State University where she studied psychology, women’s studies, theater, and philosophy. She chose both schools because of their small size, but large international presence. Heather has taken courses in a variety of other countries across six contents including England, Scotland, France, Greece, Portugal, Panama, Tahiti, New Zealand, Australia, China, and Hong Kong in undergrad and Ireland, Northern Ireland, France, Belgium, the Netherlands, Argentina, Malta, Cyprus, and Tanzania in graduate school.
Heather holds professional leadership positions with the American Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Division and the State Bar of Georgia’s Young Lawyers Division. She also serves as the current Chair of City Club of Buckhead’s Young Executive Society and is the Technology Chair on the Board of Directors of Girl Talk, a curriculum-based non-profit mentoring program for teenaged girls.
A Georgia native, Heather is an only child who spends her time traveling, brunching, vintaging, and hashtagging.
